Young Scholars teachers care for babies as
young as six weeks old with sincere love and affection, and constant attention to developmental needs. Infants are cared for
in a warm, loving, infant-only setting - similar to the one they have at home - where they can build trust in themselves and
in their teachers. While in our care, your child will continue to receive cognitive and physical stimulation to promote development.

Miss Jeanninepictured above Miss
Jeannine is one of our wonderful Mozart room teachers. Jeannine has worked with us at Young Scholars since
January 2001 in the infant room. Jeannine has experience working with all ages in different atmospheres.
She worked at the Wauconda Park District for their summer camp and before and after school programs. She
was also a teacher for Wee Care Child Care, in Grayslake for eight years as an infant teacher as well. Miss
Jeannine enjoys walking and going to the park with her family. Jeannine and her husband live in Fox Lake
with their children Tyler and Seth. Jeannine has a CDA in early childhood specializing in Infants
and Toddlers. What Jeannine enjoys most about Young Scholars is the friendly staff and getting to know
all the kids and their parents.

The teachers and infants spend some
time playing on the floor together!
A monthly lesson plan is posted in the room the
first Monday of month with our developmentally appropriate activities. Parents have the opportunity to read about
their infant’s day on the “Today We” bulletin board located on the parent board in our classroom.
Each day your baby will be sent home with a daily report indicating to the parent(s) what their sleep habits were, amount
of food/bottles consumed as well as diaper changes. Teachers will also write little comments about how your babies day
was at "school".
Miss Rachel
Miss Rachel began working at Young Scholars in February 2010. She has lived in Island Lake her whole life and graduated
from Wauconda High School. Miss Rachel is attending the College of Lake County for nursing. She hopes to specialize
in Pediatrics or Labor and Delivery. Rachel is very excited to work in the Mozart classroom as she loves working with
infants and young children. She is a wonderful addition to our team and we are so glad to have her!
