2007 Teacher In-Service

Each year the Young Scholars Child Care Center closes for a day for a teacher in-service. This year it was Friday, August 3rd. We take this opportunity to plan a day's events of fun and continuing eduation for our teachers. This year we visited Barrington Park District to participate in their awesome Barrington Teams Challenge Course at Ron Beese Park!

We had a day filled with challenges, triumphs, and team cheers! We had a blast and learned to work together to solve problems as a team. Please take a moment to check out some of the moments captured:

A good healthy breakfast to start the day! We met at 6AM!

Team #1

Tangled with your partner, we had to figure the puzzle out!

We had to transport one of our "disabled" team members from challenge to challenge.

We had to swing across a determined area, don't fall off or everyone starts over.

The corporate maze! It's a tough one!

We had to build a cube and then balance it!

...and that's not all, all our team members had to pass through a plane of the cube!

Each of us throughly enjoyed ourselves! We are greatful to the Barrington Park District for all they taught us!

Our center also participates in building community, we are proud to have raised $207,000 for the Converse Park Playground in Island Lake in 2004.
