Young Scholars Child Care Center, Ltd

Welcome to the Shakespeare Room!

Hello and welcome to the Shakespeare classroom! We are excited to have your child in our class and look forward to working with him/her. Our program will allow your child to explore their world through many new learning experiences and will focus on developing their self-esteem and independence in a structured social setting. The children in our class will be given the opportunity to develop at their own pace and are offered encouragement and support in trying new things. Our program will provide an enthusiastic, nurturing environment in which your child can grow, learn, and have lots of fun.

A weekly lesson plan is posted in the room every Monday with our activities for the week. Parents feel free to bring items that pertain to our weekly theme on Friday’s for “Show & Share.” Parents have the opportunity to read about their child’s day on the “Today We” bulletin board located on the parent board in our classroom.

Miss Chanda

Miss Chanda is an amazing teacher here at the Young Scholars Child Care Center. She is one of our first teachers employed in 1998. With her flexibility and fun loving personality she is experienced in all of the programs we offer here at Young Scholars. If you ask her what her favorite area to teach is in early childhood education she will proudly say the Two Year Old Class! The Two Year Old Class is always a challenge, but Miss Chanda makes it look easy and she does an outstanding job.  Miss Chanda's hobbies include reading and shopping!  She is a mother of two children, she has a son and a daughter. Miss Chanda graduated from Wauconda High School and has her CDA in Early Childhood Education.

MISS KRISTIN
Miss Kristin has worked in all the younger classrooms here at Young Scholars and does a wonderful job.  She has volunteered at Cotton Creek Grade School and is a reliable provider for families outside of our facility.  She is currently enrolled at the College of Lake County where she is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education.  She enjoys reading, shopping and listening to music.  When she is not doing one of these fun hobbies she is spending time with her family which consists of her mom and dad and three brothers and four sisters and three dogs.  What she enjoys most about Young Scholars is, "the children and everyone I work with and the opportunity to educate myself in early childhood education!"

She is a great Teachers Assistant and has been at Young Scholars since March 2005.  Michelle graduated from Wauconda High School in 2005 and is currently enrolled at McHenry County College in Early Childhood Education. Miss Michelle’s hobbies include going to the movies, playing pool, reading non-fiction books, and spending a lot of time with friends and family.  Michelle lives at home with her mom, dad, and three sisters.  Michelle’s favorite part about working at Young Scholars is that she learns something new every day.  One of the many things we love about Miss Michelle is that her students love her very much!!
